it had rained for the last 24 hours when max and i made it down to the river...considering all the rain and runoff, the water was pretty clear. we could see the bass and algae eaters a'plenty! what i was surprised that we didnt' see were turtles bathing themselves in the sun; also absent were any water fowl. the slugee way next the rio vista falls has been unblocked recently (thank goodness) and so it is down 2 to 3 feet from previous weeks, allowing for the rising river overflow to continue unimpeded.
